If your interest in our offer is successful, we will notify you by October 7th. At that time, we will provide you with a proposed schedule for the day, a form for your IT department to complete, and a detailed breakdown of costs based on the distance to your school and the number of children booked.

REQUIREMENTS ON THE DAY

• The event lasts two hours, with approximately one hour dedicated to "The Best Kept Secret" author presentation, followed by a one-hour creative writing workshop. Please allow a brief break between the two parts for setup and a short rest.

• Children will be seated in a circle on the floor during the creative writing workshop. Please ensure the space is large enough to accommodate this.

• Sophie will require two long tables or a combination of tables, each approximately six feet long, mid-height. One table must be close to a power source/plug socket and to the side of a whiteboard.

• The installation incorporates a ‘bubbling’ cauldron, which creates a fine mist. The mist is formed by ultrasonic vibration in water and does not require heat or chemicals, so it is perfectly safe. It sometimes causes ‘spitting’, and a small amount of water may drip on the floor, so we ask that children be sat at least six feet away from the table.

• The PowerPoint presentation contains both audio and visual material. To successfully run the Presentation, Sophie will need to connect her laptop to the school's interactive whiteboard or

  projector.

• Please ensure no children are in the room while set-up occurs. Upon arrival, the initial setup will take approximately 40 minutes, and dismantling the set will take approximately 30 minutes.

• Please ensure the children bring a pencil or pen for the second part of the session.

  Sophie has public liability cover and holds an enhanced DBS certificate.

PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Initial Invoice: The school will receive an invoice for a discounted fee covering return travel expenses from BB7 at £0.45 per mile and the cost of workshop consumables at £0.65 per child booked only. This invoice is payable within 30 days of the visit.

• Conditional Discount: This discounted fee is offered on the condition that the school provides Sophie Stewart with a written testimonial and a minimum of five photos from the event within 30 days of the visit. The photos must be approved by Sophie Stewart. By submitting the testimonial and photos, the school agrees that they may be shared on social media and the Stonehill Press website.

• Final Payment Terms: If the school provides the required testimonial and photos, the initial invoice will be the only invoice issued. If the school does not meet these requirements within the 30-day period, we reserve the right to issue an additional invoice for £175, representing the standard charge for a two-hour session. In this case, the final amount due will be the sum of both invoices: the original invoice for travel expenses and consumables plus the additional £175 charge. This additional invoice will be due within 30 days of issuance.
